Compare Listings and Plan a Safe Viewing

Use a consistent checklist to compare properties and arrange viewings with confidence.

Compare the essentials first

Create a short list using the same criteria for every property: location, price, bedrooms, condition, availability and any included bills or services. Save listings that genuinely meet your needs so they are easy to revisit.

Ask before arranging a viewing

Confirm the advertised price, required deposit, available move-in date and who will be present. If something is unclear, ask for it in writing through the enquiry route.

At the viewing

Check water pressure, natural light, mobile signal, storage, ventilation and the condition of fixtures. Take notes immediately after each visit so different properties do not blur together.

Never send money just to secure a viewing. Take your time and use the safety guidance if anything feels rushed or unclear.

After the viewing

Review the information, compare it with other options and request any missing details before you make a commitment.
