How to Advertise Land for Sale
Land listings have different requirements to residential properties. Here's how to write a listing that attracts serious buyers.
Getting Started
When posting, select Land for Sale as your category and choose the appropriate sub-type. Where an advert is eligible, the current promotion options are shown in the account.
What to Include
Choose the correct land category: residential, agricultural, commercial, or development land.
Include the lot size in acres or square feet — this is the most important spec for land buyers.
State the title status clearly (registered title, family land, etc.) — buyers need this to assess risk.
Mention road access: is the land on a main road, a dirt track, or landlocked?
Include utilities: is water, electricity, or sewage already on the land?
Upload a survey plan or boundary photo if you have one — it greatly increases trust.
Describe the terrain: flat, sloped, hillside, or riverfront.
Note planning or zoning information if available.
Price on Request
If the price is not listed, the public card and listing page display Price on request. Give buyers useful context such as a guide range, price per acre, or the factors that determine your price.
Title Status is Critical
Always disclose the title status. Family land or land with a possessory title claim will sell — but buyers need to know upfront so they can plan their due diligence accordingly. Hiding title issues leads to collapsed deals and negative feedback.
