Choosing Your Room Ad Type

When posting, select "Room to Rent" for a single room within a property, or "Room Share" if the tenant will share common areas with existing occupants. Use "Student Accommodation" if the property is near a university or college and targeted at students.

What to Include in Your Room Ad

• Room size and whether it is furnished or unfurnished
• What bills are included (electricity, water, internet)
• Who else lives in the property (e.g. other tenants, homeowner)
• House rules (no smoking, no pets, etc.)
• Nearest landmarks, bus routes or transport links
• Availability date and minimum tenancy length
• Whether the room has a private bathroom or shared bathroom

Setting the Right Price

Set your price per month. Research similar rooms in your area on the Browse page to ensure your price is competitive. If you leave the price blank, your ad will display Price on request; say what the monthly cost depends on in your description. Rooms priced correctly for the market receive significantly more enquiries.
