How Search & Filters Work
Find the right property faster with Jamaica Homes' powerful search and filter tools.
Basic Search
From the homepage, use the search bar to get started:
- Select a category (Rooms, Rentals, For Sale, etc.)
- Choose a parish or type a town/community name
- Click Search to see matching listings
You can also browse directly from the Browse page to see all active listings.
Using Filters
Once on the search results page, use the filter panel to narrow results:
Price Range
Set minimum and maximum price (in JMD or USD)
Bedrooms
Filter by number of bedrooms (1, 2, 3, 4, 5+)
Property Type
Select specific types within a category
Furnished Status
Furnished, unfurnished, or partially furnished
Features
Pool, parking, ocean view, generator, pet friendly, and more
Advertiser Type
Private owner, landlord, agency, realtor, developer
Searching by Location
Jamaica Homes lets you search at multiple levels of specificity:
- Island-wide — see all listings across Jamaica
- By parish — e.g. Kingston, St. Andrew, St. James
- By town — e.g. New Kingston, Montego Bay, Ocho Rios
- By community — e.g. Cherry Gardens, Half Way Tree, Portmore
You can also browse by parish using the Parishes page.
Sort Order
Search results can be sorted by:
- • Newest first — most recently posted listings appear at the top
- • Price: Low to High — budget-friendly options first
- • Price: High to Low — premium properties first
- • Featured — paid featured listings are boosted to the top
