The National Poverty Reduction Programme (NPRP) of Jamaica, launched in 2017, is a comprehensive initiative aimed at reducing poverty and improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable segments of the population. The program focuses on enhancing access to education, healthcare, housing, and employment opportunities, targeting both urban and rural communities across the island. It integrates various social interventions and collaborates with government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and international partners to create sustainable pathways out of poverty. By addressing the root causes of poverty and empowering individuals through skill development and social support, the NPRP aims to break the cycle of poverty and promote long-term economic stability. This initiative is part of Jamaica’s broader Vision 2030 plan, which seeks to transform Jamaica into a prosperous and equitable society
