The Systematic Land Registration Programme (SLRP) is a government initiative that systematically surveys, investigates, and registers land parcels within designated communities to provide legal titles to occupants or claimants who previously held unregistered or informal interests in land.
Administered by the National Land Agency under the framework of the Registration of Titles Act (Jamaica), the programme works area by area, mapping land, verifying ownership claims, resolving disputes where possible, and bringing properties into Jamaica’s formal land registration system.
Its main aim is to regularise land ownership, improve land records, and enable property owners to legally transfer, develop, or use their land as collateral.
