What constitutes excess rent?

According to Section 24(1) of the law, it is prohibited to demand additional payments or considerations, beyond the stipulated rent amount, as a condition for granting, renewing, or continuing a lease. This includes any additional sums or considerations required for leases extending twenty-five years or more. Any such payments or considerations made after the commencement of this act are recoverable by the payer or their legal representative.
