Head gone

Head gone: In Jamaican Patois, “head gone” is a phrase used to describe someone who is either suffering from a mental illness or making irrational, “crazy” decisions. It is often used in a casual or humorous way to comment on behavior that seems out of control or unreasonable. In the context of real estate, the term might come up when discussing clients or buyers who are making impulsive or illogical decisions during property transactions. For example, an agent might say, Mi tell him di price too high fi dat house, but him still waan buy it, him head gone.” Similarly, when advising a client who is not considering the practical aspects of a property purchase, an agent could comment, Yuh really tink dat gonna work out? Him head gone fi true!” While the phrase can carry a light-hearted or teasing tone, it also underscores the importance of making rational decisions, particularly in high-stakes environments like real estate, where careful consideration is essential for long-term success.
