Agency Relationship

Agency Relationship is the arrangement where a real estate agent works on behalf of a client to help buy, sell, or rent a property. In Jamaica, and everywhere else, this means when someone wants to sell their house or find a new home, they choose an agent to represent them. The agent’s job is to help with finding buyers, negotiating deals, and handling the paperwork. This is all done based on a special agreement that says what the agent will do and how they will be paid. For example, if you want to sell your home in Montego Bay, you would make an agency relationship with an agent who will work for you to get the best deal. Besides real estate, agency relationships can also happen in other areas, like when a lawyer represents a client in court or a financial advisor helps someone manage their money. In all these cases, it means one person is acting on behalf of another to achieve their goals.
