How to Use the Home Equity Calculator

  1. Enter your property’s current market value – Type the estimated selling price of your property in JMD.
You can get this from a valuation report, recent sales in your area, or an appraisal.
  2. Enter your outstanding mortgage balance – This is the total you still owe your lender (principal only, not including future interest).
  3. See your results instantly – The calculator will show your estimated home equity and loan-to-value (LTV) ratio, which lenders use to decide if you can borrow against your equity.
  4. Copy your results – Click the “Copy Result” button to save your calculation details.

Tip: A lower LTV (e.g., under 80%) usually means better refinancing or equity loan options.

⚠️ Disclaimer

This Home Equity Calculator is provided for informational purposes only. It offers a general estimate of your equity based on the figures you enter.

• Actual home value should be confirmed by a certified valuation or appraisal.
• Mortgage balances should be verified with your lender.
• Lenders may calculate equity and LTV differently, and extra fees or conditions may apply.
