Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism (CT) Hub

Value: Confidential.  Dean led a multidisciplinary service to assist the Met police with London-wide Independent Site Options Studies part of a Metropolitan Police Estates and Renewal Programme to house a critically important Counter Terrorism (CT) function for the protection of London in union with The Mayor Offices for Policing and Crime (MOPAC).

This included production of design brief that distilled our client’s vision and objectives, future work practices, operational processes, security requirements and group relationships into a set of strategies, design principles and spatial requirements that provided enough description of the workplace to form a platform for schematic design. Five high level feasibility studies were required and subsequently the production of a employer’s requirements for a development agreement.

Dean Ensured the project successfully negotiated the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) gateway design review process. Early establishment of structure and process through development of a Project Execution Plan (PEP), detailed Programme and standardisation ensured consistency/control of delivery and implementation management. Ensuring and maintaining good communications with key stakeholders to understand their needs was fundamental to good delivery.
